"Eu só gostaria de gravar em lugares diferentes para que eu fui a Capri de um minuto, eu trabalhava na Flórida, e eu apenas cantar em um lugar que é bom para a minha voz e por isso gostaria de estar em um estúdio cantando como nunca me sair como, basicamente, em pijama cantando e simplesmente não se preocupe em analisar o modo como eu ou qualquer outra pessoa se está a passar. Isso é apenas para termos um bom tempo e eu fiz também obter um novo doggy durante o processo e seu nome é JJ. Eu diria, honestamente, o mais engraçado foi JJ foi bater muito, muito alto notas. Ele só acontece quando ele gostava de yawns ele atinge altas notas assim que eu penso que eu poderia ter o único realmente gostaria de alta cantando nota-cão em todo o mundo e nós descobrimos esta ao mesmo tempo que se este álbum. Você só casei! Poderá dizer-me como você conheceu seu marido Nick Cannon?
"Nós realmente se reuniu em 2005, o Teen Choice Awards. Ele me deu um prêmio ... Preview: Mariah on Monday's Sunrise, Australia

And like it is for those fans, her performance for our James Tobin was worth the wait.

James Tobin flew to Tokyo, Japan, last week to interview Mariah Carey - pretty much the dream of any entertainment reporter and one that put James in a tizz. He was so enamored he arranged some designer stilettos shoes and a brilliant diamond butterfly brooch as his wedding gift.

(While she was flattered, Mariah knows her jewellery. Mariah's own wedding ring bling features a 10 carat centrepiece and is worth $2.5million.)

His whirlwind adventure - including the seven hour wait in a hotel hallway - still doesn't compare to Mariah's recent marriage to comedian Nick Cannon. That one has everyone stumped. So James gets in a few questions about this spontaneous event, held recently on a beach at sunset. Nick got into the spirit by having the name 'Mariah' tattooed across his back.

The two had been dating just for one intense fortnight.

Monday on Sunrise we will reveal part 1 of her first Australian interview since she got married.

Then watch The Morning Show immediately afterwards to see part two of the interview.

Mariah is much maligned by critics but her sales show her popularity is equal to, let's say... bread!

She has more #1 hits than Elvis Presley and her new album, 'E=MC2', (in stores now) has sold faster than any of her previous albums.

This is why she can afford to keep our James, and a hallway full of journalists, waiting longer than any other star.

Sunrise had one 18ct white gold diamond set butterfly brooch and pendant created by Musson Jewellers in Sydney, Australia.

It is a true to life shape with black rhodium plating on the outer wings and features a total of 114 round brilliant cut white diamonds = 1.20 carats.

(Total size of diamonds on Mariah's actual wedding ring: 17 carats.)

Will she keep it and wear it? That is the big question.

Jinny Chang, FTV: How far down the road are you really towards making the kind of music you want?
Mariah Carey: It's kind of like the second part of my life in a way. I don't mean that in terms of years or anything like that. I mean that in terms of my outlook on life and where I'm at just spiritually, emotionally. And just in terms of having fun and allowing that to show in music. There are songs in the album like 'Bye Bye' that you know I feel like even if you're not a fan of mine and you've gone through something you've lost, a family member or a loved one, either they passed away or they're just not in life anymore, songs like that can help you cope.

FTV: Someone like yourself who's been there and done it all in the music industry, what do you think is the prize of fame?
MC: Basically, take pride, rip it up and fill in the trash. Anybody that's in the public eye you lose a certain level of yourself to the outside world.

Mariah Carey: I'm just at a place where I feel like I can say things in a song or name a song 'cause it's so tough in this position to know who you can trust and the fact of the matter is really you can't trust anybody for the most part. And that's sad but that, on a lighter note, how would Rachel or Mary Ann or one of my other really close friends describe me? I guess, they would definitely say that I'm festive, that would be the number one thing and that's one word I didn't use when making this record 'cause there's so many of my little inside jokes.

Jinny Chang, FTV: How did you feel when you decided to tie the knot with Mr. Cannon?
MC: It sounds weird because when you get married the thing is like you lose your freedom. We kind of created...

FTV: We heard.
MC: So they say and it has happened... but this is almost like creating a new level of freedom because you feel free to be who you are.
